Amber Kraus Bio
Internship Coordinator
I am currently an Internship Coordinator at Entrepreneur High School in Fontana, California, where I am responsible for managing businesses that are operated by students. I am also part of the CTE ePathway Leadership Team, where we have been building our ePathway program.
I began my career in education as a 2nd-grade aide and moved on to become a textbook clerk before transitioning into a role as a Retail Sales Marketing Teacher for the County of Riverside. I have been in education for over 27 years.
Entrepreneurship has always been a significant part of my life, from lemonade stands and selling Girl Scout cookies to helping my father start a brickyard business. In 1985, I became a District Manager for Jafra Cosmetics, managing women who were interested in starting their own businesses, a role I held until 2010. In 1999, my husband and I owned a successful payphone business, and we were fortunate to sell the business before cell phones made payphones obsolete.
I earned a Bachelor of Vocational Education degree in 2010, a Master in STEM Education from California State University in 2012, and a Master in Business Administration from Liberty University in 2014.
In the last twenty years, I have found great joy in teaching high school students. My mission is to help students develop a plan for life after high school and guide them toward success in their careers.
I live in California, where I enjoy spending time with my five children and eight grandchildren. I am passionate about sports, including baseball, soccer, volleyball, and snow skiing. I have enjoyed watching my children play sports and grow into young adults. Additionally, I play softball every Sunday with my boys on a city recreational team. My hobbies also include working out, swimming, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors that the Lord has made.
Having a degree in STEM Education, I was drawn to REAL Journey Academy by their model, which emphasizes ePathways (CTE) and the opportunity for students to build lifelong skills through internships. I am committed to supporting students, especially those who may face disadvantages compared to their peers in wealthier areas. I love the friendly atmosphere of the organization and the dedication of the employees to helping these students thrive.
